Liv worked in Pharmaceutical Development Research since graduating university. In 2000 a sudden onset of persistent Aura Migraine that was resistant to all known medication available, she was needing medical leave one day per week. In the search for pain relief a trusted martial arts friend recommended her Acupuncturist. Bearing in mind at this time, there was very little published in English or practitioners. As a scientist, she was astonished by the ability of Chinese Medicine to address problems that medicine didn’t work for and her migraine has been minimised to one or less per year. Since that point she left her career to pursue excellence in chinese medicine has combined the best in clinical research and classical medicine to ensure rapid and long lasting results for her clients.
Training and Professional Development
Liv trained in both London and Hangzhou China through her Bachelor degree course in Acupuncture at the University of Portsmouth, After graduating, she has continually advanced both her research and clinical skills through postgraduate research, graduating with Distinction from the Master of Science degree University of Westminster. She continually develops her skills and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine through her apprenticeships with Professor Volker Scheid Dr Suzanne Robidoux and Dr Feng Shi Lun in classical medicine and the Wang Ju-Yi Applied Channel Theory Research Centre.
Liv is registered with the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA) in Ireland, the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) in the UK and is bound by Professional Codes of Ethics & Practice which are strictly enforced by both organisations.
